Am I blind? Is he not the same bro Segun that I know? Questions like this were asked by people when they are confused about who we really are as a claimed Christian. This is because, the composition they predicted by your appearance contradict the performance. Sad enough, we ourselves also affirm word like, "if I show you who I am you will not dare try such a thing with me again". CAP therefore becomes an issue we must sort out clearly as another ingredient of Spiritual service.
Thank God, Christianity is becoming more practical than theory and doctrines. The question you must answer first is what am I made up of? Sincerely, the answer should have been " what Christ is made up of" but only 0.5% or say 5% percent of believers can boast of this. This is what prompted the Apostle to the Gentles to warn Timothy:
Teach believers with your life: by word, by demeanor, by love, by faith, by integrity. Stay at your post reading Scripture, giving counsel, teaching. 1Tim. 4:12b-13a. The Msg.
Apostle Paul knew that if he could do that he would prove to the people what Christianity does in a life that receive Jesus.
Let see the composition of a believer and then we can talk of verifying it. This composition is summarised by the term: Salvation Proceeds. All these virtues proceeded from the new man. You might be morally honest, sorry, no account is kept for that in heaven without you have a book there. You must be a candidate of heaven to mark attendance of Christian living, God pleasing, spiritual service, and so on. The composition is therefore new in this sense. They are:
New Heart
New Spirit
New Thing.
These three encapsulate all the things we should see in the life of a believer. This is How God did it:
A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. Ez. 36:26-27
I see a new heart here. Why is God particular about a new heart? Remember that the heart is the Center of the body. The heart has the power to control the body. In the heart is residence all the issues of life. The heart is what display our true identity. Out of the heart proceeds every kinds of thoughts that lead to action. The heart cling to ones treasures. The heart is the factory of the body that bring about production of any kinds of product you desire so far you can give it the input. The heart is the mother of the body. So that heart which has been corrupted must be changed if we so desire a holy output. Inside this heart's factory are all the machine and technology for producing good substances. This new heart is configured to focus on heavenly treasures, to bring good thoughts, to bring issues of life, to purpose excellent things, to be very passionated, to be quick, to be stable, to be sound and mention others. It is unfortunate that many believers have sold this new heart to the devil. They import raw materials such as thought, style, music, philosophy, etc from demonic world and therefore disappoint people by their output. It is not automatic, the scripture is clear about it:
Don’t be misled; remember that you can’t ignore God and get away with it: a man will always reap just the kind of crop he sows! If he sows to please his own wrong desires, he will be planting seeds of evil and he will surely reap a harvest of spiritual decay and death; but if he plants the good things of the Spirit, he will reap the everlasting life that the Holy Spirit gives him. Gal. 6:7-8.
Many believer never understand this reality. No matter how terrible your heart is, if you are born again, you have a new one. Yes, those old thoughts might still be coming, you are the one to announce to the devil and tell your heart that it should disregard it by the help of the new Spirit in you. Those thoughts are not there actually, they only come back as a seed finding a rich soil in your new heart. It is only because your senses is use to them that is why it appears the same.
Your character and actions are product of your heart. This is the result of your input. What do you feed your heart with. Watching phonographs, comedies or whatever diary, listening to godless videos and music, foul jesting, etc. only leave junks in your heart and therefore corrupt it. My bible told me that the profit of sowing to the lower nature is confusion and death. Why would you choose to continue in that. The word of God sweet as honey, pure and holy, enriching and profiting, if abide in your heart would give you the best thing you ever imagined in life. Spiritual books, relevant materials, enriching MP3s, Wonderful T.V programme, sound online communication, relevant chats, etc. would do you good and favour in life. So stop disappointing people about your so called Christianity, show them what Jesus give you.
Very clear, we saw the ministry of that new Spirit- The Holy Ghost. Rom. 8:14 explains to us clearly that as many who gave themselves to this spiritual camping and leading are sons of God not children of God. You may have Him, if you fail to employ his operation, you are still a child. Hear what King Solomon said:
Woe to thee, O land, when thy kingis a child, and thy princes eat in the morning! Eccl. 10:16.
That is why, though a child was born, a child was not given but a Son. See Is. 9:7. It takes a Son to die on the cross, a child will disappear. God recall His possession and His desires concerning the Spirit in you:
What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. 1Cor. 6:19-20
Your new Spirit too is to glorify God. The Spirit comes with some seed of which the end product is fruit. You have the business of nurturing the seed into fruit. The seed remains a seed until it is planted and become a tree that produce fruits. These are what we know as the fruit of the spirit:
But when the Holy Spirit controls our lives, he will produce this kind of fruit in us: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Here there is no conflict with the law. Gal.5:22-23. NLT.
You can make the seed become muster tree by investing in fervent prayers, study, fasting and practising. This will make your life an example to all.
The last composition is the new things. New dress, styles, new principles, new choice, new relationship, new pursuits and so on:
Therefore if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come! 2Cor. 5:17. AMP.
All things is all things. You need to take a move to make it a reality. You need to put on the Lord Jesus Christ like cloths. See Rom. 13:14. If we would keep to this operations, we would show to the world that what we have within is authentic.
Your Appearance is your passport to your composition. The way you appear will determine your seat in a place. We have seen Christian sister with a red panted mouth who reds the microphone only because of worship. The devil has occupied all the station where they sew clothes. We use to have half naked before, we see full naked now. Transparent wears, crazy jeans worn by its people, makeups, sagging, dirty hairstyles and countless number of others. On the matter of makeup, we should be emphatic. Why does lecturers do makeup test? Hello! What needs makeup is either half or three quarter. When you use make up, you agree that you are not made well by God, you are not whole, and you are not complete. We can work on our appearance by the composition test. Again, we should overlook many things reigning in the world today they have their way of enticing you. Hear Paul's confession:
All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: allthings are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any. 2Cor. 6:12.
Christian, perform! It is high time we stop saying I don't want to talk or act so that they will not call me Pastor. Let us live the life out. We would guide others:
Your very lives are a letter that anyone can read by just looking at you. Christ himself wrote it—not with ink, but with God's living Spirit; not chiseled into stone, but carved into human lives—and we publish it. 2Cor. 3:2b-3.
If we keep to this reality and let them become flesh in us, we would through our lives render an undiluted and continuous spiritual service even when you don't preach.
God says, let them know am in you. We are moving deeper with Him. More intimacy Lord!
