SLEEPING IN HEAVEN’S LAND

The end result of a man’s life is written in his hands, i.e. he is the determinant of what happens to Him, though God has planned great and wonderful things for us (Jer. 29:11). Yet, it is still subject to alterations by us.

As a result of the traits portrayed by the Apostles, they were named Christians by the people of Antioch (Acts.11:26). But it saddens these days that some say they are believers while they are not and some are believers but don’t know who they serve. We are all known to be Christians in our different places. Our friends and neighbours know that we are committed to the work of the Father, oh, we are also well known to attend different Christian programs, but our lives seem indifferent from theirs.

All the days of our lives we thought we know God and yet reverse is the case yet we are believers. We ask ourselves questions like; why is my life like this?, why is Mr. A spiritually far ahead of me even though I knew God before him?. Yes he will. Come to think of it, in academics, all things being equal, a man who is serious with His studies will surely make an edge over those who are not serious. Though we are believers but our priorities are different. In what sense, you may ask?

A man who thinks attending spirit-filled programs, sleeping in fellowships to get anointing or to be imparted and from there go into the world to impart is only deceiving himself because the anointing will actually seize one day for there is nothing to sustain it. A church program though germane to our spiritual lives is still minute to us, for our own responsibility from God; which is, to seek Him (Jer. 29:13). All these programs are to awaken what we have in us and then we go on to sustain it by our personal relationship with God.

I asked one of my Papas a personal question one time about the angelic ministration and the reply I got was not what I expected, instead he told me that I should stay connected to God, so, I asked myself a question that don’t I know God or don’t I hear Him speak to me? But the reply I got in my Spirit was to the level of what I want to know is what I will know and to the level of what I want to hear is what I will hear. So also us, we shouldn’t narrow our minds to a thing about God, He does not only want us to see Him as our miracle Worker or Redeemer but also wants us to know more about His personality and His kingdom, He is looking for men who will bring heaven on earth, i.e. making known the realities of His kingdom to sons of men. He wants us to know more about Him every time which requires our total alignment to Him all time. 

In conclusion, being passive partners, i.e. church goers or financial supporters in churches or Christian Organizations is not only what God needs us to do but also He wants us to be active partners with Him. We ought not to be at rest because we are saved for there is more to Christianity than we think it is.
