Dedication is a major fuel to a life of diligence. God hates laziness. A lazy man is a man without a hope. One of the things we must check in our lives is the virtue of diligence. Proverbs 22:29 gave us brief assignment:
Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.
Let us do a search for where a diligence man can be found. It is always before kings- people of importance. But a laziness man would be found with means men. Mean means average of average. Imagine a king standing before an average human being. That is what idleness and laziness can make a man. Rom. 12:11 informs us on the how:
Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord.
We must not be slotfull in Kingdom business. How can we avoid that? By being fervent in spirit. Fervently serving God. We must give dedication to kingdom partnership. If your own is to intercede or plan or speak, or give, or move people, whatever it is, do and be dedicated. The bible ask us to learn from ant on this matter:
Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, Provideth her meat in the summer,and gathereth her food in the harvest. How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep? Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.A naughty person, a wicked man, walketh with a froward mouth.
So we must devote ourselves to this sacrifice. The scripture says when we are diligence we prove to God that we are qualified as an approved person.
