Sub- Topic: The Force of Worship
Text: Rev. 19:10

Today, we have millions of people who are worshippers of God gathered all around the globe including you, glory to God. But are these people true worshippers? Worship is not enough, spiritual and true worship is what the Father ask from us. John 4:24.
We need to know who we worship, how we worship, when and where to worship, before we can claim true worship. Many people who are in Church, have sifted their attention from worshipping God, some have missed their reasons for worship. The Angel told Apostle John with his true status, "don't worship me! Worship God!":
And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. Rev. 19:10.
Remember that An Angel is a messenger like you. In fact every spiritual leader in charge of God's house or property is an Angel. See Rev. 2:1 (ISV)
“To the messenger of the church in Ephesus, write: ‘The one who holds the seven stars in his right hand, the one who walks among the seven gold lamp stands, says this.
Yet, we are in the generation who worship pastors, prophets, apostles, bishops, archbishops and so on. Apostle Paul gave us serious warning about this:
Some people may say that God has shown them special things. They may tell you that you should do certain things to your bodies to become better people. They may tell you that you should *worship*angels. But you must not believe those false things. If you listen to them, you may lose something really important. People like that may think that they know a lot of things. But they are only thinking men’s ideas. They do not understand how God thinks. Col. 2:18 Easy English Version.
I heard Apostle Paul saying they do not know how God think. You can't, also those receiving what belong to God cannot too unless you repent.
Sad enough, there are those who worship the God they have no ideal of. This is more sad. They pay tithe, offering, donations, sowing etc. Some are workers in God's vineyards, some are even ordained ministers of the Gospel grown in age but groan in grace. Apostle Paul pitied such people as I also do today:
For when I came by, I was looking at the things to which you give worship, and I saw an altar with this writing on it, TO THE GOD OF WHOM THERE IS NO KNOWLEDGE. Now, what you, without knowledge, give worship to, I make clear to you. Act 17:23 (BBE)
Hear what Jesus told the Samaritan woman who have zeal without knowledge like some of us today:
You give worship, but without knowledge of what you are worshipping: we give worship to what we have knowledge of: for salvation comes from the Jews. John 4:22 (BBE)
Well, I would like to tell you that The Almighty Godhead (God the Father, Son- Jesus and the Holy Spirit) who created the heavens and the earth is to be worship with understanding. Have you ever take time to pray and study about God's personality? Please try once or more.
We have no problem with where to worship even though there are heresies going around the globe all in the name of publicising church and not God. Jesus left the Samaritan woman unconfused about this matter:
Jesus replied, “The time is coming, ma’am, when we will no longer be concerned about whether to worship the Father here or in Jerusalem. For it’s not where we worship that counts, but how we worship—is our worship spiritual and real? Do we have the Holy Spirit’s help? For God is Spirit, and we must have his help to worship as we should. The Father wants this kind of worship from us. But you Samaritans know so little about him, worshiping blindly, while we Jews know all about him, for salvation comes to the world through the Jews.” John 4:21-24 (TLB)
It is no longer a matter of my church is the place or mount Goshen is the place, it is the heart and the space is anywhere. Why then, can't we better focus on the purification of our heart than any place?. God is everywhere!
The question of how to worship is also answered above- by the dictate of the spirit. If we would be factual, our order of programme is mostly stagnant and stereotype saying "that is how we do it here". Thank God is here and not THERE- Heaven. You will give account. Many time we say the Holy Spirit hijacked the programme from us and stay beyond time, it is not true we are the one who have hijacked the programme from Him since we started and He takes back His programme and therefore, all the time we take doing our own is wasted and we delay our people unnecessarily. Give Him the Programme Man of God! How did Solomon know the kind of sacrifice that he gave God that earned him life riches and wisdom? By the help of the Spirit. Remember, Our God is a Spirit, it take spiritual connection to touch Him. Please Stop canal dance in the name of thanksgiving. It is when the Spirit of the Lord came upon David that he dance that way not when he is drunk or has heard and watch or copied from so many unholy dance flowing round the media today. May God give us help.
The matter of when to worship is serious in our bread and butter generation. You see, God need your worship more when you are weak, broke, jobless, barren, when you are facing difficult times and others in that caliber. This are times that people ask God downgrading questions, for your information brother and sisters of God, God cannot be degraded, He never change, He remain glorious! Do you worship God for reasons of what he has done only? worship Him for what He has not done too, but in all, worship Him for who He is. Hear what king David said:
I will bless the LORD at all times; his praise will be in my mouth continuously. Palms 34:1 ISV.
That is what God wants. So the answer to when is- every time, all the time, without ceasing.
When we give such a sacrifice in true worship we will grow to become like Him, we will be accepted by Him, we will be given access to all our possessions, doors of living and working grace with ease will be opened for us. We will please Him and our eternity would be secured. Then what should we wait for? Action begin. Hello! Spiritual service cannot be given without spiritual and true worship.
