2018 IS NOT A NEW YEAR and DECEMBER IS NOT DEMONIC 2nd Edition

In the first edition published on 31st December, 2016, I started with the fact that whatsoever is born of the season is seasonal”. We are aware that we are not seasonal beings and that we are not carried away by the natural season and its jamborees. Its jamborees and problematic atmospheres which are sometimes produced by the anxiety of those who thought if God cannot do it this time, then next year is too late. This in Nigeria, (the country of the author of this article) have resulted to fuel scarcity, increase in prices of goods and services and several other menaces.
Our expectation is not based on the season, it may come in the season of New Year but there is more to that. If you dont move to your new house before the year ends does it mean God is incapable of building 3 houses for you next year? Cant God give you a new car in another month and not December ending? Why must it be December by force or by fire? Why should you overburden yourself and be anxious because of the season of New Year, all of that are seasonal and they will vanish away in few days time.
I have been unwilling to write any article even though I was tempted to do so in this jamboree month of funny events. I became wearied of many greetings from many people especially in Yoruba dialect of Nigeria, they say eku imura Odun (meaning well-done for the preparation for the festive period) and others will say compliment of the season. Beside this, there are many articles and posts that have created all sorts of cancerous impressions in the heart of many and sundry that they need to run all the runnings they could not run since January in December or as they put it, before the new year. Many whose plans are not achievable in 12 month calendar of December run to meet up, who is running who?
Countless numbers of programmes and church activities that filled the air have continued to create such impressions in the minds of innocent people that December is so dangerous or serious when compared to other months. Friends, we made it so. This is one of the reasons for mental disorder that results in series of casualties all around December. We need to repent.
I am not surprise to see many people who, because of the mental picture painted by all these, draw closer to church and not to God because of the danger they wanted to prevent or the goodies they wanted to acquire for the season. Hello, God is not seasonal; He is the same yesterday, today and forever. The One that was, that is and that is to come, the I am that I am, the Beginning and the End, (Heb. 13:8, Rev. 1:8).
According to Gods calendar, the 365days of 2018 is not new. From dictionary, new means something not used by anyone else previously. A new year means a year that exists for the first time. This is not so. The years men will spend on earth up till the rapture has been created by God and it has already existed before we start seeing them opening up page by page, or better put, day by day. In Gods calendar, the next 365 days is not a year, it is less than a second, (2Peter 3:8).
Yearly calendar is the innovation of men not of God. We create it ourselves, why should it then become a problem to us and not a medium of composure. People run around to meet up with certain demands of the end of the year as if they had seen the rapture. If we would be conscious of rapture this way, I tell you, His gospel would have reached the world.
We see people, even those who have not being to any church before, going to churches to shout happy new year and go back to drink and dance that they have seen another new year. Some would go, crying that they could not achieve a particular thing/plan in the last year. People of God, the plan of God for our lives are more tha New Year clothes or chicken. If your goal cannot be achieved in 12 month you can operate on the normal achievable period and stop seeing demonic December.
This self-examination and new planning will do in December should be don monthly, quarterly, or in six or twelve months period and sometimes the duration of the goal's achievability. And, our walk with God should be checked every second, (2Cor. 13:5).
Whether you are wished happy New Year or not, whether you acquire new thing or not, just make sure you never lose what you have- the eternal life of the Father (if you don't have one please be born again). More precious than anything is our walk with God. I have not write to stop you from going to church on the last day of the month of innocent December, but that should not be the only time you will appear before God. Also, you can call it 2018 (or a new year [to you/us], although it is not new to God and other kingdom personalities). You can also tag it any divine name based on the vision God gave you to pursue for the months ahead and set your achievable goals with God being the First and the Last, (Matt. 6:33).
Finally, May you not miss your timing in Jesus name.
