PURPOSE'S CRY Part 1 by Femi A. Falade

PURPOSE'S CRY Part 1

by Femi A. Falade

My conversation with many Corps members at NYSC Orientation Camp at Dutse bids me ardently to realise and thus write why purpose cry, how it cries and what makes a purpose to cry. It is also important to ask why purpose cry and what are its pains.

Asking a female graduate of one of the renowned universities in Nigeria (the country of the author of this piece), what is your purpose? "My purpose is to become a chartered accountant" What? I asked within myself! This shocking response with other interactions with many others showed that, many people are living a purposeless life.

I weep in my secret place after my encounter with many youths that are driven with nothing but ordinary wind of lust-list and vain passions. I weep for help. I begged God for my life!

We look strange when we walk out of arrangements that are anti-purpose. We look "too holy" when we don't join others to do what they do. We sound different and isolated because our views are not in line with what they want to hear so they ask us, why? Our answer is that "it is because of this purpose".

With deep reflection and sincere concern, you will bear witness to the truth that "what we are denying ourselves of doesn't worth it if not of the purpose we carry". We also wish to be here and there for all manner of fun but we have said yes to our purpose's call and our purpose's blood is over our necks. We have signed a life agreement with this purpose of God for our lives, we cannot breach agreement; we cannot afford to be wounded by the logics of purposeless demons.

If your purpose have not started selecting your kind of life, where you need to or not to be or go, the kind of life you will live and the category of people who should go or not go with, you have not come to the true identity of your purpose. If your purpose has not dictated or is not dictating the kind of person you would marry, the kind of company you should keep and the direction you should take, you have not started bearing purpose in mind or have not started identifying yourself with your divine purpose.

Our purpose cries for help. He cries for rescues from the polluted arrangements our society set for us. Our purpose cries for our awakening and taking him as serious as it should be. Yet, we joke around the purpose as though we have all the time around us.

When they ask you why you choose this path of righteousness and purposeful living, tell them, it-is-because-of-this-purpose.

#ItIsBecauseOfThisPurpose# greetings!
