CHRISTIANITY MADE SIMPLE 2.0 (CMS) by Femi A. Falade
Christianity is simple for the Apostles who died for the Old rugged cross. It was simple when they faced the persecutions by stones and others beheaded. Christianity was as simple that Paul became born again and embarks on three days marathon the same day in Act chapter nine. Christianity was very simple when the missionaries came to Africa and were persecuted and many of them died. The days of God’s general were also another example of the simple Christianity we see all around our days. The days when sacrifices were made on the altar of prayers and fasting became a usual life. What a simple Christianity!
Christianity has also been simple in some aspects of the world including the Northern part of Nigeria where those who profess the faith are being slaughter in mass quantities. How simple are you oh Christianity that, the scripture has not become a novel and that miracles do follow us like water every day without sacrificial living unto God?
Those who claim Christianity is simple should help us take it and confront the persecuting men and women with their bombs. They should take it simple enough to confront the hosts of darkness in the universe. May I never received that kind of simple of Christianity that will make me lazy like those who use the social media to starts their criticizing ministries and make men more worse than they meet them.
That simple Christianity that is characterized with laziness to fasting, praying, studying God’s word, preaching the gospel and embarking on supernatural dimensions is not my portion. Lord, I pray again, may I never received such simple Christianity that will make me irresponsible to my commitment to you in all wise including tithing and giving unto the Lord that which He blessed me with. Lord, may that kind of simple Christianity that made people sleep from glory to glory, that makes them normal and casual, that makes them as prey to the truth and home and media announcers never be my portion.
But that kind of simple Christianity that makes men mad on the altar of prayer; that made them radical for the gospel of Christ, that makes them pull-down the strong holds of darkness, that makes them fast like there is no other, that kind of spiritual-hunger-thirst Christianity that that hold men down in place of word study is what I want for me and my generations. That violence Christianity that provokes further violence of faith for performance and holy living; that kind that makes me walk in the capacity of God and His fullness is what I beckon for.
