Born to Reign: Replicating The Dominion Reign of Jesus
This is the last teaching in the “Born to Reign” May 2017 teaching series of the month of Dominion and Reign. You can read the previous articles online at falade-femi.blogspot.com or download “When God Says Kabiyesi: Unveiling Our Royal Identity” by the same author at Amazon visit https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0722YQ936.
However, as we behold Him face to face in this piece, I'll like you to picture Christ as a mirror. Take note, not in a mirror, but Christ himself as a mirror. Place Him before you and bring yourself close to Him. This is to fulfill the scripture. According to the word of Faith, you don’t recognize yourself until you recognize Jesus. We must look at Him, face to face to make a move for transformation unto His image, (See 2Cor. 3:18).
We are close with the portion of the word of Faith that says, as He is, so are we in this world, (1John 4:17 Paraphrased). The fact of this scripture is expressed in all facets of His life. This reality will shall look upon in the light of our royal identity. Jesus is a king in this world, I am also a king in this world.
Evidence from His Birth
Christ Birth is synonymous with our new birth. We can relate His birth with our own birth, as in born-again. The truth is, there is nothing synonymous in our natural birth and His natural birth. Rather, His natural birth is our spiritual birth. Don’t forget, he that is born of the Spirit- conceived by the Holy Spirit, that is, Jesus our Lord and like we are in the new birth- is spirit. So we are spiritual beings. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, we were witnessed by the Holy Spirit, (See 1Cor. 12:3).
The wise men came unto Him to explain His birth position. Their question was, where is He who is born king…….? (See Matt. 2:2). How did they know? They saw His star, the star that shinned forth, the star which signify the birth of a believer, (See Dan. 12:3). Every believer is born a king, this is the wise men’s general report.
A prophecy about the king was that:
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
The government, the reign, is with every new believer. The reign is on the increasing side, peace and safety in the kingdom. This is the king in action. This is also the life we are birthed into. We are of the increasing kingdom as a king.
Throughout Jesus stayed on earth, He never live lesser than a king. At a time, Pilate called him a king, Jesus did not deny him, He knew who He was, (See John 18:37). Jesus was the king of kings of the earth. Up till the time of the cross, he was crowned a king.
Although they did that to mock him, it was a reality in disguse. The same way, you are mocked with good position, they call you doctor even when you have no hope to further your study, they call you mother of twins even when you are barren, they call you “big man” even when you cannot afford a three square meal ,all of these will work out your testimonies and make you the best.
Living Like A King Like Christ
If you will need to live like a king in this world, you will need to have spiritual audacity to do so. You must see yourself in a divine royal apparel. You will live in this in view. You must also understand that there is something peculiar about being born-again. You are not common. You are special, peculiar and precious. You are equally from heaven. You are not there, you are in charge. Jesus ruled by spiritual audacity.
When they asked him in whose authority he was doing what he was doing, he told them that He that is from above is above all. Spiritual audacity brings people under you no matter their position, age, race and so on. As we engage this knowledge, I see God being proud of us in all areas.
