“The Challenge and Our Responsibility”

It is so sad that most people who attended church, Christian gatherings, and impartation service are carriers of bring-bring nature of living. We make ministers of God to fall, we are to be blamed. 

The man God uses to impact you is not worthy of your material blessings and you still come again and say pastor, bless me, May God have mercy. You came with a goodnews of answered prayers, “pastor! I have gotten the contract, and they have made the deposit and in fact my profit will be nothing less than a hundred million” and you left. Your tithe became so expensive and your giving seems like that is what the pastor is depending on. Christians, is that what we are thought from God’s word?

God’s word says: If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your material things? Do ye not know that they which minister about holy things live of the things of the temple? and they which wait at the altar are partakers with the altar? Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel. 1Cor. 9:11, 13-14.

You called the man of God and told him all your challenges. You disturb him in the night and he prayed with you happily and when God raises you up, you say, “these pastors men!, they can be too frustrating with their messages! And I will not give him anything this month, so that he can learn not to preach that way again”. Remember, you are not God and you will give account. 

The man of God tries to work, you started saying, “I can’t allow my pastor to be a secretary of one organisation that will be wasting his time” and you don’t obey the scriptures. Where did this kind of attitude enter the Christian fold?

You say am not earning big, I can’t give anything to any pastor. You refused to obey the spiritual instruction and the prompting of the Holy Spirit thinking it is the devourer of your finances. No, your disobedience to God’s word makes you a self-devourer. 

These men go hungry and hungry and fell into many menace and you say, “I know my pastor is not born again! God has exposed him”, you have forgotten that he is a human being having blood and water in his body too. Ha! You are the cause, repent and make your pastors happy. 

The bible emphasized that: Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine. For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, "The labourer is worthy of his reward. " 1Tim. 5:17-18

Dear Reader, God is speaking to you. Make those who labour over your soul, those who feed you with God’s word, and those who impact you with spiritual blessings happy. Someone is closer to you. Let play our role and reduce how minister of God go into several sins which the root is money. 

May God help us, Amen!
