WHAT HAPPENED FROM JERUSALEM TO JERICHO: A SHORT STORY BY FEMI A. FALADE

Anytime I remember the “Story Of A Good Samaritan” we were told and believed when we have not gotten so close with the Spirit behind the living word of God, I usually says in my heart, God will help “la kram la pour bible believers”. Well, it is not a good Samaritan, it is a certain Samaritan who displayed about 10 characters of a good neighbour. Apart from this interesting story, the Lord would like us note what happened from Jerusalem to Jericho, because many of us are so carried away with the good acts of the Samaritan than the mistake of his neighbour who did not known what could happen on someone’s way to Jericho when a person decided to leave Jerusalem.  

So that we don’t also fall into the same error, we need to know this, the mistake, the thief at the road and his aim and then we decide whether to go from Jerusalem to Jericho or from Jericho to Jerusalem.

While we understand that the spiritual implication of Jerusalem is a place of peace; the place where God is and the temple of the Most-High God. Well, Jericho was represented in the days of Joshua as a house of bondage, the bible says, no one goes out, no one comes in. So, when you see a man who thought of leaving the house of God or His presence to embrace bondage that disguises as freedom, he is making a choice like the man in Luke 10:30-36.

Beloveth, on the way to every Jericho from Jerusalem is a thief, whose aim is to steal, to kill and to destroy. He is waiting for the children of Jerusalem to backslide to Jericho so that he can stripe them of their godly inheritance. When a man goes from His Jerusalem to Jericho, he has signed in for an attack.

So, the devil whose aim is tripartite, stripped the man of his raiment, wounded him and departed leaving him half dead to destroy him in eternal fire. Why leaving God at this time? If the yoke of Jesus which is easy seems heavy for you, do you think that of the devil will be soft? Why signing in into eternal death and leaving abundance of life in Christ Jesus? Who has tempted you to go for ritual and manipulate your way up? They only want you out of Jerusalem for destruction. Do not concede. 

Well, there are two ways to escape going through the pains that the route to Jericho cost a man. First, get the knowledge that this article is passing out to you. If you know that the devil is at all door of Jerusalem waiting for who will leave, you will learn to stay at Jerusalem and wait for God.

Second, if you are already a victim, the Samaritan of heaven is available at the junction where you have been wounded. Let Him help you. His name His Jesus. Return to Jerusalem after He washes away your sins.

It is better to stay in Jerusalem and feed on one manna than to be at Jericho and feed on burger.
