Sub- Topic: Evangelism Made Simple [EMS]- The ABC Approach.

Text: 2Tim. 4:5

Good news! Evangelism is no longer a burden and a heavy task. It is now simple. At this time we have no excuse, God has helped us on how we can engage in the second act of spiritual service without stress. We are a blessed generation indeed. This,  i discovered by His Spirit and i called: Evangelism Made Simple [EMS]. Let me quickly say this to you:

"Everybody cannot become and evangelist, but everyone can do the work of an evangelist" 

This is the fact Apostle Paul told Timothy: 

But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry. 2Tim. 4:5

Yes, Timothy is not an evangelist, yet Paul knew that evangelism is a general task. Everyone must do the work even though it belongs to the evangelists. If Bishop Timothy is asked to do the work of an evangelist, I wonder what is the excuse you have Reverend, Doctors, Lawyers, Accountants, Lecturers, name your status, we are without excuse. 

The ABC Approach in Evangelism Made Simple [EMS] means a three step action and souls are won to the kingdom. These three steps are:

A- Acknowledge

B- Believe

C- Confess

This approach originated from the book of Romans chapter ten verse nine to ten:

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 

Acknowledge What or who should be next in your questions? Our own is to preach who Christ is and what He has done then we say to the person we are preaching to "Acknowledge". He dead for you. You are born sinner. He is the saviour. He is the Lord. He can save you. He can forgive you. He can take you to the Father.- Acknowledged.

Then, Believe. Do you believe the died for you? Yes. Buried and Ascended?  

Then Confess Him. How? Lord Jesus, I confess you as my Lord and personal saviour. 

As simple as that seems, it has just added to the kingdom. God planned it that way: 

For when the world with all its earthly wisdom failed to perceive and recognize and know God by means of its own philosophy, God in His wisdom was pleased through the foolishness of preaching [salvation, procured by Christ and to be had through Him], to save those who believed (who clung to and trusted in and relied on Him). 1Cor. 1:22. AMP

So, we have just got an appointment. What are we to preach? The gospel, the word of God. This is what Apostle Paul preach:

For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. 1Cor. 15:3-4 ESV

Let every of your salvation message be according to the scriptures. 

We need also to preach all the time. In season, out of season:

....preach the Word of God urgently at all times, whenever you get the chance, in season and out, when it is convenient and when it is not. Correct and rebuke your people when they need it, encourage them to do right, and all the time be feeding them patiently with God’s Word. 2Tim. 4:2 TLB

It is urgent people of God. Let start using all the opportunity we have. 

We must hang it over our neck like Apostle Paul declare woe on himself if the fail to preach it. 1Cor. 9:16.

God is counting on us. We must tell the sinners how God loves them.

Jesus say, go, look back, I am with you always.

Your rewards are sure.

God, grace and more grace.
