“The First Person, First Stone” Revelation- Part 2- Femi Falade

The Reason Behind The CROSS
Unveiling The Mystery of God’s Forgiveness
“The First Person, First Stone” Revelation
Femi Falade A.
Part Two

We continue from the part one. We were, by God’s help, able to establish the fact that God is not mad at you as we have been wrongly taught by our aged doctrinal churches. What reason or mystery is behind the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ? It is simply the mystery of go, sin no more.

Towards the conclusion of the first part, I pointed out that the mystery of first person, first stone is what God reveal to me by His word in his gracious mercy. I said that I saw in the book of John chapter eight, the practical explanation of the forgiveness of God in His unending mercy. I noted some facts which include,  God seldom condemns. Jesus seldom condemns. God practice of forgiveness is “forgive and forget”. God want us to sin no more not because he will reject us, but so that we can grow into perfection in him and make ourselves true sons and daughters of God in demonstration.

Thus, we saw the small playlet of the scribes and the Pharisees who brought a woman taken in adultery to Jesus. They set her in the midst:
They say unto him, Teacher, this woman hath been taken in adultery, in the very act. Now in the law Moses commanded us to stone such: what then sayest thou of her?
Brothers, you are right but according to Moses’s ministry which I explained before now. You can rebuke that acts, it is correct, but, don’t condemn that sister.
Most times, what we do deserve serious stoning. In fact, some deserves death. It is true that that sickness came as a result of what you have done wrong, yet Jesus did not ask you to pay for it. The scribes had forgotten. The Pharisees had also forgotten. They also don’t know the mystery of stone and why Moses recommended stone and not cane.
Let me say that, to stone somebody who has sinned is the best thing if we understand the mystery of stone.

The next verse reads:
……But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground.

I love the wisdom of the Chief Conner Stone. I have once asked the Holy Ghost what Jesus would have been writing on the ground since the writer of this chapter does not take note. I heard in my spirit that He must have been writing the new commandment code and particularly the once that deals with the new creation man after Christ nature. Glory to God!
Later, they continued asking him, Jesus speak! Jesus perform! Then he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a (the first) stone at her and went back writing the code of the new covenant.

What Jesus told them is simple. Who among you has not sinned? Who among you know or have the first stone in him? Who among you is the first? I love the Man of Calvary. Do you know that, among them right there, there is a person that is qualified for this mission but ignorantly they don’t know him. They could have said Jesus, you are the one who have not sinned among us and thus be the first to stone her. Whether the first or the last, Jesus has a message of God’s forgiveness free of condemnation.

Simply put, Jesus is the one who has not sinned. Jesus is the Chief Conner Stone. Jesus is the Judge in the scene. He simply says, the chief Conner stone has been thrown on her since the foundation of the world, (See Rev. 13:8). He stoned everyman with mercy and the stone which formed a rock of shield in them and of course, around them. This prevents them from condemnation. He that does not sin also has paid for her sins. Please, when Jesus himself fails to condemn, who are you to condemn?

The bible says when they heard it, they went out one by one, beginning from the eldest to the youngest. Elderly role is displaced here. I feel those who understand this mystery are supposed to be called elders, they don’t continue to condemn instead they show them why they should not sin again and what they suffer themselves when they sin. Those who are growing up too should follow the elderly ones in understanding.

This was the burden of Paul the Apostle when he lamented that:

Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Rom. 8:34

Jesus also needs to take a position in this matter. The bible said, Jesus lifted up himself, and said unto her, Woman, where are they? did no man condemn thee? And she said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said, Neither do I condemn thee: go thy way; from henceforth sin no more, (See Verse 11).

Jesus told us that he did not have the audacity to condemn. God’s love for you never grows cold. He wants to see his sons and daughters happy. He wants to see them always behaving like Him. Therefore, your sin does not change God nor change His position about you. Your sin only changes you by asking you who you really are and also change people’s views about you, asking who your father is.  A believer who sin is not a sinner, a sinner is an unregenerated person with Adamic nature of sin. If you are born-again, you are righteous, that is why sin irritates you. Besides, you can’t continue sinning. If you fall into one, you fill guilty and the best thing is to come back to God and ask that he grants you more strength to live above that sin. When you see a believer who sin deliberately and perpetually, he is only saying that, he is a bastard or he is not born again but pretends to be. The truth is, no one can be born-again and still passionately love sinning.

The message bible told us that:
People conceived and brought into life by God don't make a practice of sin. How could they? God's seed is deep within them, making them who they are. It's not in the nature of the God-begotten to practice and parade sin. 1John 3:9

Therefore, he that has this light let him shine. Jesus made his conclusion on the scribes and the Pharisees by telling them that:
I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in the darkness, but shall have the light of life.

So, follow Jesus, the way, the truth and the life. He will illuminate your heart more and more. If you are experiencing an addiction which as a Christian please takes this little advice. Stop giving attention to it. Instead, continue to study God’s word about your new creation nature, life and right, prayer for more of God, attend Christian fellowship and also be committed to God’s service. As you engage these, you will soon realise that, your spiritual muscle is built to resist such sin and also to do good opposite to it.

Again, don’t relent on your strength …….but grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen. (2Pet. 3:18)
