CALLED ALONE, RESPOND IN GROUP by Femi A. Falade

CALLED ALONE, RESPOND IN GROUP by Femi A. Falade

In 2016, when I was attending Leadership Diploma Course at Word of Faith Bible Institute, Cannanland Otta, Nigeria, I asked Pastor David Oyedepo (Jnr.) a question during one of the classes he took us. The question was a burden in my heart and I wanted a clarification. I said, sir, can God call two people together into one ministry?

From his response, I realised that God calls each person alone although he can call another person into one's vision like Aaron into Moses ministry, but he cannot call two people with one calling.

In a bid to understanding your calling, you  need to know and avoid the mistake of group response. God doesn't  call people in groups. We can have a clear cut purpose of God for our lives, if we will care to know that God's call is individualistic, secretive and altar-based and not general, public and pulpit-based.
God said,
"Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him". Is. 51:2.

Yeah, God called him alone in Gen. 12:1. God didn't speak to Abram family, he spoke to only him. In fact, he told him to leave his country, his people.

*Can I say, whatever follows you into your calling will determine your profiting.* Abraham might not have had an hangover that determined the limit of his blessings at the time he was occupying the lands God gave him if he had not taken Lot with him. He had to share it with lot.

*Responding to God's call with Lot will cost you a lot.*

That was exactly Abraham's experience. He could not leave anything called his people and his properties. They became too expensive to leave. This is why, we must discover the purpose of God for our lives early lest we respond in group and not alone.

If yours seems too late, learn from Jacob. He left all, and was alone with God for a wrestle that delivered to him his glorious destiny.

Finally, responding individualy makes your Calling original and those men who will go with you will also respond to God individualy and follow.

Purposeful Greetings,
