MY GENERATION AND THE NOISE IN THE WILDERNESS by Femi A. Falade

MY GENERATION AND THE NOISE IN THE WILDERNESS by Femi A. Falade

Over the years, there are people whom a good number of their daily activities, worth and life are known to me by their presence on social media platforms. There are people who because of their uncontrollable social-media temperament have led themselves into troubles meant for others.

I didn't know there are witches and wizards in the social media until the day God revealed to me and gave me an assignment to write on the clarion call into the social media for all Christians and the rise of social media missionaries. This was coupled with a three days social media prayer. During the 12am live social media intercession (using Facebook as a contact point to others), I saw a wave that was not of the natural and, there and then, I knew the social media has its own demon which possesses its addicts.

My Generation are noisemakers. Unfortunately, 80% of youths who have made social media their  living rooms are in their wilderness experiences. The rest 20% who are in their promised land have no time for social media flamboyancy. Regrettably, the 80% wilderness men have blindly undertaken the task of publicizing them. My generation is not disciplined.

Do you know that, no one 'selfie' in His wilderness and publishes his pains and agony for men to know what wilderness is like when he or she is going through it? That is what my generation do and do regularly. No man who hope to publish his gains and success someday makes social media his haven in his training period.

Learn from Jesus! Why do you think Jesus' 40days in the wilderness was not recorded? Couldn't he have sent for a writer to assist in recording those fasting agony and prayer pangs? Perhaps, a photographer to capture the movements he was yearning could publicised His sacrifices better. Jesus would not. Why? He knows that, wilderness is a noiseless and personal place, he knows it is a foundation that the public would not necessarily know its worth  at that time. The results speaks of the prize because results makes sounds and not noises.

Jesus' story was great. He left the wilderness and the Bible told us that His fame went abroad. Who publicized His fame? Which part of Him went abroad? Nobody knows what happened in the wilderness until when he concluded the process and the tempter came.

Beloved, your disguise that you are in your glorious future when you are in your wilderness is not a promoter into your desired rest but a open door for attack, close-door to helpers and wrong impression to fellow builders of the future. It attracts more problems than eulogy; more vain expectations than you can deliver and more struggles than ordinary.

My generation can learn from Jesus, in the days when He lived in the flesh on earth. The Perfect example for any man yesterday, today and tomorrow. When you painfully walk into your future, your future gloriously walk you into celebration to be celebrated by others.

Shalom
