The Most Pleasant Thing on Earth

The scripture is simple. There, the righteousness of God is unfolded to man. There is no ambiguity in understanding the spiritual content when we have the Holy Ghost in us giving us interpretations. Therefore, making the scripture work is working with and walking in the scripture.

Those who work with the scripture cannot walk on the scripture

What do we call the most pleasant thing on Earth? Gold? Silver? Diamond? One Billion Dollar? or a Billion-Dollars Contract? A house or the latest car? None of this is worthy to be one. 

God’s word give us a guide to this pleasant thing in Ephesian chapter four and verse two to six:

With all lowliness and meekness with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love (pelu irele gbogbo ati inu tutu,pelu iparamora, e ma fi ife farada a fun eni-ikeji nyin) English and Yoruba version

Let us look up. The verse above advise us to exercise complete humility wherever we find ourselves and in all we do, thereby not seeing ourselves better/superior to anyone but instead we should learn to tolerate other people and correct their misdeeds with love. Why this instruction? There is a need for us to be guide into the pleasant thing on earth.

Giving diligence to keep the unity of the spirit in the bond of peace(ki e si ma lakaka lati pa isokan emi mo ni idipo alafia). 

This verse, as if it stands alone, advise us that to maintain the oneness of the spirit through the bond of peace, that we should give it all it takes thereby making it our obligations to promote peace and unity in any atmosphere we find ourselves. Maintain oneness? Bond of peace? Lord, guide us into this peasant thing on earth.

There is one body and one spirit just as you were called. ( Ara kan ni mbe ati emi  kan,ani bi a ti pe nyin sinu ireti kan ti ipe nyin. one hand, one faith, one baptism, one God and father of all who is overall and through all and in all. (Oluwa kan,igbagbo kan,baptismu kan,olorun kan ati Baba gbogbo eniti o wa lori gbogbo ati nipa gbogbo ati ninu nyin gbogbo). 

These verses above are still talking about oneness in Christ. The verses preach about the unity in the body of Christ and that even as Christians, we are joint heirs with Christ irrespective of our denominational differences God want us to explore the most pleasant ting on earth- UNITY.

The bible told us in Ps. 133

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron' beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

What can be as pleasant as this experience? The scripture therefore give us a guide to achieving it. Love, Patience, Forbearance, Peace, Endurance, among others is the key to open this pleasant thing on earth.
