THE HADASSAH IN YOU
A Charge to Queens in their Embryos
By Adesewa O. Falade
Hadassah that is, Esther, as seen in the book of Esther in the Holy Scriptures was an orphan yet, she kept herself (undefiled) until she was made a Queen. I hope we still have young ladies who still have a vision be be queens someday. I hope your situation and condition would not make you denial the fact that, there is a queen in you and that a throne awaits you someday. I hope you will not give in to your present challenges. If you are one, determined and stable or even unstable, this piece is for you.
It is of great importance as virtuous sisters of this generation to learn from the story of an undefiled orphan who watch over her ways until she saw the light of her queenly destiny.
Esther was beautiful and fair to look upon, is this applicable to you dear sister? Hope you're not the type that just bath and dress anyhow without caring how you look (glorifying God in your dressing). Even if you are a victim of second class grade cloths, you can still keep yourself clean and glorifying.
What a queen-mindset, despite the fact that she dressed nice she never trade her beauty for penny. She flee youthful lust which qualifies her to be among the contestants, so to say.
Being found among others, she did not follow the canal principle of "if you cannot beat them, then join them". She stood her ground with God in her. She was loyal and contented with what Hegai gave her. She was not "Chicken Republic" motivated. She knew her worth. Dear, do you know your worth?
Most sisters are to be pitied when we talk of fasting. They can give hundred excuses for not having time to fast but suggest a date to them at an eatery, they can count off head, the types of Shawama and Pizza joints in the whole world within some seconds. Hadassah portrayed a well trained lady, she prayed and fasted to God which made her and the Jews blissfully rescued. She knew her background must be helped and never disassociated herself from her people. May God help us to learn from this. With just ordinary change of location, most of us hide our dialects and speak British English like we are Britons.
Ester was a woman ready to stand for her people not minding the cost, be it death or whatever. I see endurance here. Our sisters are not "red-made" but they want a "red-made" man. They cannot endure with a visionary young man. They class themselves and say, he did not fit my status. May God forgive us and help us.
Finally, my dear sisters out there, I will like us to mirror these outstanding attributes of this queen in ourselves and revive the Queen in us. If we will make impact in our Generation, we must bring out the Hadassah in us, sharpens it and prepare ourselves for the place God has prepared for us.
Be focused! Desire to be the Esther of your generation! Maintain right standing with God and u will never regret doing so.
SHALOM.
Please share with the redeemed sisters out there.
