THE CRY OF HELPLESS MEN: DON'T JOIN ME CRY by Femi A. Falade
Water drops from our eyes down to our toes that fateful day, the day we lost that precious sister, Modinah around 2004/2005 at Gbena area, Iyalode, Monatan, Ibadan, Oyo State. We didn't think of raising the dead. We didn't think we could pray. We have no idea if God can be close to anyone of us. In the mists of no hope, we wallow. Cries everywhere because obviously, she is a glory-filled young lady.
She was a mother to me. She sends me little work with plenty reward as a small boy. She was very gentle. She was brilliant and motivating in her gentle way. She cannot die that way. We wept, we nod our heads in concerns but there was no remnant who will say, "If I be a child of God, rise up and come back to life."
We were not born again. Our ways of lives do not look like someone who will meet Christ in 30 years to come. It all look like there's no hope for our families. We were not better than our enemies then.
We were rough and play rough plays in those years. If you see that my "old-man" old friend, Tunde help me salute him for those clever ways of stealing from petty supermarket of innocent women all in the name of buying biscuits or milk.
We were sick, dying, rioting, and fainting into eternal hell. But God said, we would be the remnants. Unless the Lord has left us with a Remnant, "our world " would have gone so soon. I want to say, unless the Lord left us as the remnant, our stories would have been that we once lived. The cry of helpless men filed the air now. Don't cry now.
We do not know we were remnants. But what took the lives of others when they try it, we tried the same but mercy says no, you will live. I remember I once eat "soda" (a yourba locally made soap) as yam because of the wickedness of a woman some years ago. I would not just die. I eat "grounded tiger battery" because life seems to be ending in a moment of shame. I would not die. I got lost and was found, we escape snake bits, gun shots and rescued from accidents. We failed, we missed our ways, we were sick and healed and in those years, we didn't die.
We received grace. The years we spent being evil and satanic agents, we have recovered for God. We have been given second chance and we are now God's axe bulldozing the the kingdom of darkness. We wish that's how it should be for every remnants left on the field now but not at all. Thank God we have yielded. We have stopped the hands of the devils, tore the mouth of lions, changed conditions, challenged status quo, rooted out, destroy, proclaim death on those who must die, declare life to those who must live, set records and we are still in the business of the Lord. Glory to God!
Some people who should have been more spiritual than us today because of their stand in those days, have gone back. Others, died. The story of others cannot be traced. Grace found them but they were lost. I wish this grace will wait for those who are still preserved by Him today.
We can no longer waste time. Heaven is no longer waiting for you. You are a remnant but what is remaining is "no time". God can no longer wait for you. The grace we enjoy may be a disgrace to you if you hope to enjoy the same now. The end is here.
Has God called you to ministry and "you are going about your own thing"? Are you not yet born again and you think it doesn't count? The next moment can be yours. Are you struggling with what God said you should stop and you ask for the last chance? Don't take it, it is time to seek the Lord.
Our generation is terrible because you, the remnants are sleeping and taking grace for granted. I hear a prophetic sound and signal of "Enough of Wasting Heaven's Resources and Time over your life"
It is time to Return.
Return now. Fire!
Seek the Lord!
